As the saying goes…
FAMILY over EVERYTHING
We are Filipino-Americans that grew up in the Bay Area (Daly City, to be exact) where our parents settled. We were always surrounded by family. We lived in multi-family households and had large family parties for every birthday and holiday. That also meant, we were always surrounded by food! Food brought us together and anyone who entered the door would be offered a plate right away.
Now that we are older and have families of our own, we want to keep that tradition of family and food strong, plus share it with the world!
Who are we?
Irene is the oldest sister and the only one who learned to speak tagalog! She has two teenage daughters and works in healthcare full-time. Her specialty is both savory and sweet dishes! And is the baker who came up with the recipe for our best selling Ube Cookies.
Sharon is the middle sister and can get by with some taglish, but can fully understand. She is surrounded by all boys! She is the woman behind the business management, the one behind the grill, and holds the secret recipe to our marinade.
Mary Anne is the youngest sister, and like Sharon, can’t really speak but can understand tagalog. She works in marketing full-time (tech company by day and PaYUMo by night). She is also the woman behind the social media posts (when she finds time in between wrangling her two toddlers).
